OpenCHAMI BoF

Session: OpenCHAMI Community Birds of a Feather
Time: Tuesday, November 17, 2026, 12:15pm-1:15pm CST
Location: McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, room W184bcd

OpenCHAMI is an HPSF emerging project and an operator-led open-source control plane that brings cloud-like APIs and modular services to HPC system management. This BoF will help newcomers understand what OpenCHAMI enables today, give current users a forum to compare deployments and priorities, and invite operators, vendors, and developers to shape the roadmap.

The discussion will cover adoption paths, including but not limited to xCAT transitions, and will collect community feedback on tooling, integration, documentation, and operational requirements.

Topic areas: System Software; Emerging Hardware and Software Technologies
Keywords: System Management, OpenCHAMI, xCAT alternative
